I just got a LPC Card in the mail.Is this one of those credit card scams?
An LPC card is a credit card that can only be used at the LPC catalog store.I got one in the mail yesterday but i haven't activated it.It says that i have up to $7,500 limit. This sounds like a scam to me but i could be just be paranoid. Will this card destroy my credit? Is it a scam? LPC stands for Low Pay Card. Thanks

- yes it probably is. i once signed up for a free PSP and they made me sign up for a credit card. and then, the credit card didnt work and i got spam to my email for the past 5 years. it really sucks! -naruto4ever
- it has a high credit limit , but when you call you have to pay like 140$ activation fee to even use the card plus you can only use it with them , and there catalog
- Did you request the card? Do you know the company? If the answer to both these questions is no, then cut up the card in many pieces, don't activate it and get rid of it.
- I've heard about those cards. They have a high annual fee, and an activation fee. Call the 800 number on the back and cancell it. Call again next month make sure its cancelled. Keep calling. They will try to charge you all kinds of fees.
- Smells like trouble, doesn't it? It is probably never a good idea to accept a credit proposal that arrives unsolicited.
