What are some scams that do damage to someone's life that you advise people to look out for.Scams?

scams or just other things that start out as innocent mistakes, (such as your car breaks down in the road, and you go for help, you come back , it has been taken to CHP, who won't release it for less than $500.00, and adds $100 per day) Scams by other people or agencies that you recommend people watch out for?

1. It might be commonly know, but I'm still gonna mention it, even it's not technically a scam. Stay away from payday loans. It starts out innocent, but don't forget---those extra $500 you just borrowed are going to cost you more in the long run. First you will pay the high interest and then you might have to take another loan to pay that one of, since you didn't have that extra $500 to begin with. Now your next check is $500plus short and the cycle continues. I feel so bad for people, that can't get out of this .....
2. If you add the rest of this story, you may get an answer. CHP has better things to do than "steal" cars that are broke down. Scams happen to people who are trying to get something for nothing and then want to cry about it when they get ripped off.
